The Team
Chris Jennewein is a senior at Case, majoring in Computer Science with minors in Japanese and Dance. Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Chris is excited to be at Case where he has taken a class to successfully complete his first game, ChromaWaves for the iPhone. He plans to enter the game industry after completing his masters degree in Game Production and Management. His love of games has expanded into a love of programming and he enjoys picking up new programming languages. His background is in Java, and has worked a great deal in C languages, Perl, XHTML, CSS, and the iPhone SDK. Aside from his studies, Chris is an active member in the Case Western community, including but not limited to, a Brother in the Fraternity of Phi Gamma Delta, a Spartan Cheerleader, and a member of the Case Men’s Glee Club.
Matthew McCroskey is a fourth-year Computer Science and Cognitive Science major at Case Western Reserve University pursuing minors in Music and Artificial Intelligence. Matthew was born and raised in Birmingham, Alabama, and is passionate about emerging trends in technology, business, psychology, leadership, and the arts, particularly where they intersect. Matthew and is perpetually seeking out opportunities that leverage his skills in these areas. Matthew has several years of web design experience, spent last summer building iPhone applications, and has worked with Java, MATLAB, and a variety of scripting languages. This fall, he’s splitting time between his work with the Qube Lab and an internship at Rosetta Marketing in Cleveland. He’s also writing a short musical.
Dane Shafer Klink received his Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering from Case Western Reserve University in 2010. Dane is from Brunswick, OH, where he started a free community-based technical support website called PCHelpOut. He has been creating websites and making small games since his middle school years. His summers have been spent creating .NET-driven websites, and for his senior project he created a bike lending tracking and reservation website in PHP/MySQL. He also has coursework experience in Java, C, HTML/CSS, C#/ASP.NET, and PIC/MIPS assembly. In his free time he enjoys volunteering at the Cleveland Foodbank and tutoring children after school.
Omri is a PhD student at Case Western Reserve University. Omri has an MSM as well as both a BA and a BS from Case. Originally from Israel, Omri is now a New York local. A drummer and jack of all trades, Omri is constantly discovering new interests; recently, in the area of design and physical computing. Omri has been involved with a variety of IT projects throughout his life, including work with IT department at Case’s School of Law and the newspaper, Yedioth Ahronot. Omri has written video distribution systems in ASP.NET, enterprise software for distribution systems as well as worked on personal projects including handheld interfaces for database front ends, a social networking concept for the iPhone, and is currently working on a drum sequencer using a microcontroller and a custom designed plexiglass board as well as a refreshment tweeting device using RFID tags. Proficiency in languages include Ruby on Rails, PHP, MySQL, C# (.NET Framework), and the Processing/Arduino environment..
Nick Berente is the founder and director of The Qube Lab and takes a hands-on approach to ensure that every project is successful and that every student gains valuable experience. Nick is an Adjunct Professor in Case Western Reserve’s Weatherhead School of Management, where he has taught a variety of courses, including Database Management, Innovation, and Multivariate Statistical Analysis. Nick is also a Research Fellow at the University of Michigan’s School of Information and has authored over fifty scientific publications and book chapters. Nick received his PhD in Information Systems and MBA from Case Western Reserve University, and his Bachelors from John Carroll University. Nick is the former president and founder of Pentagon Engineering Corporation, an IT company that he sold in 2002.office: (216) 368-6556

- Matt Briancon graduated and moved onto a position with Bloomberg in New York City. Bloomberg is the world’s leading provider of business news and data, and Matt is a developer there.
- Brian Seeders went to work as a developer for Listener Driven Radio, an innovative local company that puts the control of radio content in the hand of the listeners.
- Eric Tutlys graduated and joined Akamai in Cambridge, MA. Akamai is the the world’s leading content delivery network, and Eric is an associate solutions architect in the Advertising Decision Solutions group.
